Immune Response Teste by Multitest CMI and T-cell Counts before Surgery in the Patients with Stomach Cancer

Abstract
For the assessment of cell mediated immunity in 159 patients with stomach cancer, Multitest(r) CMI and T-cell were checked before surgery.
@ES The results were summerized as follows;
@EN 1) The percentage of anergic response were 18.2% for all patients. The percentage of anergic response was higher(29.2%) among the patients with stage IV than of stage I(15.9%). (p<0.01).
2) Tuberculin was the antigen giving the strongest induration(6¡¾3.6 mm), while proteus antigen gave the weakest induration (2¡¾0.8 mm). The average total score of stage IV(3.51¡¾1.93 mm) was lower than that of stage I(5.12¡¾3.43 mm).
3) Tuberculin was the antigen giving the highest reaction rate(69%), while tetanus antigen gave the weakest reaction rate(11%).
4) Tuberculin was the antigen giving the highest reaction rate(69%), while tetanus antigen gave the weakest reaction rate(11%).
5) The peripheral blood lymphocytes, total and active T-cell counts of stage IV was lower than stage(p<0.05) I.
In conclusion, the response to Multitest(r) CMI, lymphocyte, total and active T-cell counts were decreased according to the advance of disease.
